Kasra Dash:
If you are a fencing contractor looking for more work and a consistent flow of enquiries, this video is for you. Myself and James have worked with many fencing contractors across the UK, so we know what works from a marketing point of view and what you should be avoiding. In this video we break everything down. James, take it away.

James Dooley:
Step number one to grow is a Google Business Profile. If you already have one, reach out to all existing clients and try to get as many five star reviews as possible because it is a great way for Google Business Profile to generate more leads. You should also get citations, publish posts and upload photos. That is definitely step one for generating more local leads.

Kasra Dash:
Step two builds onto your Google Business Profile. Create dedicated service pages for each fencing service as SEO optimised pages on your website. This helps the SEO page rank, and it also increases the likelihood of your Google Business Profile appearing for those keywords, which indirectly brings more phone calls.

James Dooley:
If you want local leads fast, PPC through Google or Bing is another option. You target bottom of funnel keywords to generate enquiries. You must work with a good PPC agency because click fraud exists and you need a strong negative keyword list to filter out things like people applying for jobs. PPC works well but in the wrong hands it wastes money.

Kasra Dash:
You also have Meta ads on Facebook and Instagram. When someone scrolls Facebook they might see your ad. Lead forms are easy because the user does not leave the platform, although the quality can be weaker unless you add more questions. Conversion ads send users to your website where they complete your contact form. Both options can work.

James Dooley:
Another great way to get more local leads is organic social media. Posting regularly on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram increases visibility. Reddit and Quora are also useful if people ask questions you can answer. Organic social is a solid way to generate more leads.

Kasra Dash:
Organic social media is a volume game. You need to upload consistently. A daily or weekly schedule works. You might set a target like five videos a week and stick to it. Platforms like YouTube and Twitter reward consistency.

James Dooley:
What are your thoughts on using AI agents? Some people team up with someone to use N8N to automate and schedule posts across social media. Is using artificial intelligence a good idea for generating more leads?

Kasra Dash:
AI agents can crop videos and autopublish across YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. But I would also focus on AI search. People are slowly moving away from Google and searching more in ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Groq. If your brand is not showing up in those engines, you will struggle to generate leads. Companies must focus on this.

James Dooley:
To get more business leads locally, you can also use tradespeople websites like Checkatrade, Bark, Builder Builder, TrustATrader and Rated People. These platforms generate local leads. Track KPIs like cost per lead, cost per acquisition and overall return on investment. Tradespeople websites work well. Check the links in the description because we have videos comparing Checkatrade with FatRank, Bark with FatRank, Rated People with FatRank and Builder Builder with FatRank.

So now I have mentioned FatRank a few times. Kasra, what are your thoughts on lead generation companies as opposed to tradespeople companies?

Kasra Dash:
With lead generation companies, you must do due diligence. Make sure the company has generated leads in your niche before. Have a strategy call to discuss your budget and ideal lead volume. Ensure your KPIs align. You should also check what type of leads they supply. Are they exclusive or shared? Shared leads, like those from Bark and Checkatrade, are a common complaint because it becomes a race to the bottom on price.

James Dooley:
If anyone wants more local leads, head to FatRank.com. We run a commission based lead generation service where you only pay a finder’s fee on converted jobs. Nothing per lead. Nothing upfront. You pay only after you get paid by the customer.

Kasra Dash:
Inbound lead generation is far better than outbound. The last stat we saw was 16.1 percent conversion for inbound leads versus 1.4 percent for outbound. Outbound requires huge volume and sales staff. People think outbound is free, but you still pay for emails and sales time. Inbound converts much higher.

James Dooley:
People also ask about realtime leads. They are very important. Realtime leads convert around 63 percent higher. Responding in under a minute performs far better than responding in five minutes. Many businesses fail because they go away for days and nobody answers leads.

Kasra Dash:
At FatRank we check these factors before partnering with a business. Fill out the form and the team will tell you if you are the right fit. If not, they tell you why and what to improve.

James Dooley:
These are the lead generation strategies to grow a fencing business. If you want more fencing leads, head to FatRank.com and hopefully we can begin generating them for you.
